At Finborough School, education is about so much more than studying. From 2yrs to 18yrs, our children are encouraged to develop as individuals, each receiving the focus and guidance they need to become well-rounded, confident people in life. Proud to be one of Suffolk’s top ten schools, we are even more proud to publish that our ‘value added’ rating (roughly translated – our record for improving pupils) is well above average, and streets ahead of the rest of the top ten.
We’re not shy to admit that we love our sport at Finborough School. Rugby is in the family and in the blood of the school, closely followed by every other means of keeping our children fit, active and enjoying the outdoors. From infant climbing frames to tennis courts and rugby/football pitches, we offer a wealth of sports and recreational facilities to excite any budding athlete. School should be fun: happy children will learn more. At least that’s what we’ve found here at Finborough. In research carried our recently with parents, staff and pupils the most commonly used words to describe the Finborough experience were ‘happy’ and ‘fun’. There is a real sense of community around the school. Children of all ages, boys and girls, mix freely - with the older ones looking after the younger ones and the younger ones looking up to the older ones!
The option to board at Finborough School has always been extremely popular, with circa 20% of our children choosing to do so currently. ‘Choosing’ being the operative word – our comfortable boarding house offers the perfect balance of 24hr care and room to grow. Nutrition is very important to us at Finborough. We run a full time kitchen of experienced catering staff who produce high quality home made meals for breakfast, lunch and tea.
