Prep School
Accommodation and values
We at Finborough School are very proud of our new Prep School accommodation in the main building of the beautiful old Finborough Hall. Our light and airy rooms provide a calm, yet stimulating environment which has a positive effect on our children’s learning.
Our new ICT suite, which opened in February supports learning across the curriculum as well as enriching our dedicated ICT lessons.
Although our classrooms are separate from the senior school classrooms, we have strong links with the

Many of the children in the Prep school come through our Montessori Nursery, although children join us throughout the school year from a variety of schools. These children are supported by staff and peers and quickly settle happily into life at Finborough.
Curriculum
We offer a broad curriculum where pupils are encouraged to develop strengths in all areas. French is introduced into the curriculum in Prep 1 and Spanish in Prep 3. From Prep 3 more subjects are taught by specialist teachers and children get used to varying teaching styles and environments.
Our curriculum is enhanced by our after school Enrichment activities which include Art, Music, Drama and Sport which we view as an important part of school life.
Aims
At Finborough there is a clear sense of progression from our Montessori Nursery through to the Prep School and from there on to the senior school. This gives the children a sense of continuity and security. Within this secure environment we aim to foster a love of learning which will stay with each child as they move on to the next step in their education.
