Life in the Boarding House this half-term has seen a few changes from last year, with Mr Walton and Mrs Beeston in charge and some up-dating of the Boarding House itself. The new office provides a central point, and the boarding staff have been enjoying a more cohesive work space.
Our boarders have been as busy as ever with Art club, rehearsals for ’13,’ and a variety of activities in the new Sports Hall.
We have enjoyed a wide range of weekend activities over the last few weeks which have included a trip to the cinema, laser-quest and cycling at Thetford Forest. Most recently we celebrated Halloween with a party involving traditional games such as bobbing for apples and toilet-roll ‘Mummifying’, followed by a spooky walk in the woods and telling ghost stories round the campfire.
On our last Sunday of term we enjoyed a traditional Sunday lunch, with everyone eating together in the dining room. We followed this with a countryside walk accompanied by the Boarding house dogs.
We are looking forward to some further revamping of the dorms ready for next half-term, and our Christmas celebration on the 7th December.
