Year 7 Geographers take their learning outside
The year 7 Geographers took their learning outside last week, making the most of the sunny weather, and consolidating their learning on settlements. It is hard to appreciate the detail, but their settlements had to include features such as; houses, a water supply and access to resources, using only natural resources, aluminium foil and a plastic cup!
It was amazing to see the students imagination take shape as they added their own features such as schools, lakes, rivers, telecommunications towers, gates, graveyards, memorials, sewers, boats and fire pits to name but a few!
It was a really enjoyable lesson, with 100% engagement and fantastic learnability from all.
