Finborough Examination Results 2019
A fortnight of examination results began with our A level students success and achievement of places at an excellent collection of universities studying a broad range of subjects from Medicine to Economics.
Our top achiever was Angus MacDowall who gained 3 A grades allowing him to take up a place at York University to read History and along with his peers deserve hearty congratulations for their success.
Our year 10 and 11 students are celebrating a stellar set of GCSE Examination results with a plethora of excellent achievements.
Amidst a wonderful collection of results Hattie Cooper, Lilly Edwards, Nell Hammond, Scarlet Phoenix, Charlotte Schofield and Charlotte Taylor find themselves at the top with a raft of excellent grades.
Students in year 10 performed well in an early entry to GCSE Mathematics with Robin Basu and Woody Jackson both achieving exceptional grade 8¹s.
Overall students achieved well across the full range of curriculum subjects including English and Mathematics, however results in Sciences, Languages and Physical Education were particularly impressive this year.
We are very pleased with the progress our students have made, measured by impressive value added amidst a national picture of a continually more rigorous and challenging set of qualifications.
As our students progress onto the next stage of their education, university, college and many remaining at Finborough for their A levels, their academic achievements are the tip of an iceberg of skills and attributes they possess with developed strong characters and inspiring leadership behaviours. We congratulate and wish them all the very best for outstanding futures and will certainly be looking forward to updates as their lives unfurl.
