A Level Results Day
Amidst the ongoing furore of A Level grading this year, we are extremely pleased with the outcomes for Finborough students, demonstrating without shadow of a doubt their indefatigable hard work and the tremendous commitment of their teachers during an incredibly challenging time.
The deeply rigorous process applied at the school to assign grades has been resolutely ratified by application of the much commented OFQUAL algorithmic standardisation.
Amongst the many highlights that shine through the glow of added value is A* A* A achieved by Beanie Spain, securing her a place at Queens College Cambridge to study Veterinary Science. This is a truly exceptional achievement testament to her undeniable ability and unrelenting drive to achieve her best.
Also at the academic pinnacle we have another Finborough first as sixteen year old Tom Bercovici secures A* for A level Mathematics, remarkable because he is only in year 11 and therefore completed the course two years early. Tom who joins our Sixth Form was not precociously alone as a number of his year group compatriots achieved success in AS level Mathematics, including Robin Basu who secured a grade A and also remains at Finborough on course to study Medicine in two years time.
Our students are all rightly celebrating their success as first choice university places are secured and their exciting next steps can unfurl beautifully without impediment.
