It’s creepy and it’s kooky, mysterious and spooky, it’s altogether ooky the Addams Family!
From Saturday 21st – Thursday 26th November, the Senior School Production ‘The Addams Family Musical: School Edition’ transformed the Sports Hall into a spooky castle complete with smoke and fireworks. We first started casting and rehearsing this production in September 2019! We were in the theatre at Dance East in March 2020 ready to perform when the country sadly went into lockdown and all our hard work was postponed. But with true Finborough School ‘can do’ spirit and even having lost some of our cast members we rebooted, rehearsed and finally got to perform our show!
All the cast, crew, students and staff had an amazing week with the show. Our superbly talented cast absolutely smashed it with rave reviews on their singing, acting, dancing and superb professional nature of the show. Led by Gomez (Tom P) and Morticia (Maisie B) the crazy Addams Family and ‘normal’ Beinekes had the audience in uproar. Weird Grandmas, giant Butlers, men in love with the moon and many more also had the audience in tears of laughter and joy. After their successful performances in school the show was then streamed out to audiences at home and watched by over 70 families.
It was a show that we will never forget, so huge thanks to all the adults and pupils involved who helped to make this so memorable and such a huge success.
