Flair Open Art Gallery
The final stage of the Flair Open Art national competition for 13 – 16 year olds was held at Finborough School this weekend.
12 finalists were selected from across the UK and proudly showcased their entries in the schools incredible Art, Design and Photography facilities.
The creativity and talent of the shortlisted artists was breathtaking and the renowned artist John Frith had the difficult task of selecting 2 winners, one with a prestigious prize of an Apple MacBook Pro.
Congratulations to Eshal from Wolverhampton who won 1st prize with her piece to display her identity as a sense of freedom. And also congratulations to Zorah as the runner up, receiving a Hobby Craft voucher.
The creative arts are such an important platform for young people to express themselves, their views and aspirations for a better world. The theme of the Flair Open Art Competition was ‘Identity’; a stimulus that has commanded a range of inspiring interpretations championing a wonderfully bold view of life, our heritage and connections.
Art is a powerfully liberating tool and it is abundantly evident that our entrants lives are enhanced by their fantastic creative endeavours, promoting happiness.
