Snowdon 2023
Amidst biblically changeable weather that presented some of the toughest conditions to attempt to climb a mountain, our intrepid students and teachers tackled the foothills and a number of more sheltered peaks around the colossus that is Snowdon.
With windchill several degrees below zero, hail and lightening our team of over sixty students and teachers were not thwarted in any way. The alternative route charted by the professional mountain leader guides was a tremendous physical challenge that tested our characters in every dimension.
The spirit of adventure and resilience experienced from every student was exceptional and the elation at completing a trek of more than ten miles, including a weather driven emergency decent was fantastic.
After a a full day of adventure and an excellent meal, the students took to the very cold waters of Lake Cwellyn to further demonstrate their incredible spirit of fun and adventure.
Another incredible experience further forging the strong positive character of our amazing young adults at Finborough School Sixth Form.
