Shakers a Resounding Success!

Carol, Adele, Niki and Mel work in a bar that is worse than hell!

For the last 3 evenings we’ve been taken back to the 80s thanks to the small but incredibly talented Shakers Cast.

Drama students from Years 9 – 13 wanted a challenge, a new style of performance and something to push them out of their comfort zone – they certainly got it with Shakers. Set in a 1980s cocktail bar, 4 waitresses and some clientele take the audience through the struggles of the time in a witty but heartwarming show.

The standard of acting and the ability of the young cast to portray risque and mature material, whilst also mastering comedic dialogue was impressive.

Under the expert direction of Jon Bridgeman, this cast really shone and gave audiences across all 3 evenings a great night of laughter and entertainment.
