Finborough Students at Wembley for the NSL

On Sunday 15 Netball players across years 7-13 headed to Wembley Arena to watch London Mavericks play rivals London Pulse in the Netball Super League (NSL).

The day consisted of watching three games, the first being a NXT GEN match, Mavericks v Pulse and the last, Netball Super League (NSL) game also Mavericks v Pulse.

NXT GEN games provide a platform for emerging talent, nurturing and developing the next generation of world class players and provides a pipeline of talent to feed the Netball Super League (NSL). NSL is the UK’s top level, elite netball competition showcasing many England players so a fantastic opportunity for the girls.

Both games were fast and furious with an amazing amount of talent on show to inspire the students.

If this was not enough our Finborough netball ambassadors were also very fortunate to be granted a meet and greet with the Maverick players and have team photos. They were also invited to perform the role of ball patrol for the live game! The girls jumped at the chance and were able to sit courtside to assist the players to retrieve balls when they left the court.
