Inspiring Performances at Nottingham Hockey Centre as Finborough U12 Hockey Girls Shine

This week our U12 Girls travelled to the ISHC Hockey Festival hosted at the Nottingham Hockey Centre, it was a true celebration of sport, spirit, and development — and Finborough team rose to the occasion in brilliant style.

Set against the backdrop of one of the country’s premier hockey venues, the event was a festival of energy and opportunity. Teams from across the region brought their best, creating a competitive but joyful atmosphere that highlighted the very best of youth sport. Throughout the tournament, Finborough girls played with heart, skill, and an incredible sense of teamwork. Their development was evident in every match — from slick passing combinations to smart positioning and resilient defending. The players supported one another beautifully, growing in confidence and cohesion with each game. A true embodiment of the Finborough Better Never Stops ethos.

A standout feature of the day was the phenomenal guidance and encouragement from our coaching team. Their calm, clear direction and unwavering support empowered every player to give their best and enjoy the moment. Their passion and belief in the team shone through — and the girls responded with fantastic performances.While the results were strong, what truly stood out was the learning, the teamwork, and the joy of playing the game together. It was a day of progress, pride, and promise for the future.
