Finborough’s Production of Frozen Wows Audiences with Magical Performances

Finborough School’s recent spectacular production of Frozen has been hailed as one of the most ambitious and enchanting performances in the school’s history, captivating audiences over three unforgettable nights.

From the moment the curtain rose, the school theatre was transformed into the magical kingdom of Arendelle, immersing the audience in a world of snow, song, and sisterhood. With over 130 students involved, 300 dazzling costumes, and hundreds of precisely timed lighting cues, the production was a true celebration of creativity, teamwork, and talent.

The journey began in December 2024 with auditions, followed by months of dedicated rehearsals and bespoke coaching from the Performing Arts team. The pupils’ resilience, passion, and commitment shone through in every performance, delivering a show that was not only technically impressive but also emotionally powerful.

Mr. James Griffin, Head of Performing Arts, reflected on the significance of the production:

“Musicals matter.  They bring children together.  They build confidence, create friendships, and give young people a chance to express who they are and what they can be.  When pupils take part in a show, they learn how to take risks, how to support each other, and how to bounce back when things don’t go perfectly the first time – or the fifth!

And for many of our pupils at Finborough, the experience becomes something very meaningful.  It’s where they discover new strengths, grow in self-belief, and create lasting memories.  That’s why these shows matter.  That’s why we do it.”

The production of Frozen will be remembered not only for its stunning visuals and heartfelt performances but also for the sense of community and joy it brought to everyone involved. It stands as a shining example of what can be achieved when passion meets perseverance at Finborough School.
