If you are looking for a future using communication skills, interpersonal skills, problem-solving, team-work, organisational skills and independence, as well as excellent job prospects, then a modern language is for you.
At AS and A2 we examine contemporary cultural, social and political contexts of the country through a variety of stimuli such as literary texts, newspaper and magazine articles, and films.
Once a week, in addition to their timetabled lessons, students have an hour of one to one speaking practice.
We also enrich this academic experience with visits to France. Most recently, we went to Chamonix and Annecy in Haute-Savoie and on a separate trip we visited Paris. More trips are planned!
Students choosing to study French at AS level are expected to have a good grade at GCSE level.
