Finborough Talent Shines on England U19 Rugby Stage

Finborough School is proud to celebrate two of its own as they make their mark on the national rugby scene. Henry Lumley, a Finborough alumnus who left in 2025, and Charlie Tamani, currently studying in our Sixth Form, have both been named in the England U19 squad to face Wales this Friday.

Henry, now representing Northampton Saints, continues to build on the strong foundations laid during his time at Finborough. His selection is a testament to his dedication and the support of our sporting community.

Charlie, also with Northampton Saints, balances his elite rugby commitments with his academic studies here at Finborough. His achievement reflects the school’s ethos of nurturing talent both on and off the field. Find out about the Northampton Saints academy here.

The match will take place at the Centre for Sporting Excellence, Ystrad Mynach, and promises to be an exciting fixture as England U19 take on Wales. Both players are part of a squad that includes some of the country’s brightest rugby prospects, and we couldn’t be prouder to see Finborough represented at this level.

We wish Henry and Charlie the very best for Friday’s game and look forward to following their continued success.
