Finborough School Hosts Elite Netball Training Day for Suffolk’s Rising Stars
On a recent dark winter’s day, Finborough School shone a light on netball and welcomed some of Suffolk’s most promising young netballers for an exclusive high-performance training event. This invitation-only session gave athletes a rare chance to experience a professional-level environment, designed to push their skills, speed, and tactical awareness to the next level.
Leading the day was Sachel Grant, an experienced Pathway teams coach for London Mavericks and Saracens, and whose energy and expertise set the pace from the first whistle. Players worked through advanced drills, positional workshops, and competitive match-play scenarios, each tailored to challenge even experienced athletes and sharpen their game.
Supporting the programme was Finborough’s own netball team, guided by Donna Cooper, whose leadership and commitment to excellence reflect the school’s strong sporting culture. Their involvement gave visiting players a real insight into what makes Finborough one of Suffolk’s top schools for netball.
