Finborough Welcomes Pupils from Spain and Andorra for Short Stay Programme
Finborough School is delighted to welcome a group of pupils from The British College of Andorra and The English International College, Marbella, who have now arrived and begun their stay as part of the Finborough Short Stay Programme.
This exciting new initiative brings together pupils from across the Forfar family of schools, creating meaningful opportunities for shared learning, cultural exchange and personal development. Since arriving, the visiting pupils from Spain and Andorra have quickly become part of daily life at Finborough and are already fully immersed in the school experience.
A Fully Immersive School Experience
From their first days on site, pupils have been attending lessons alongside their Finborough peers, integrating into classrooms and engaging with the academic curriculum. They are also taking part in a wide range of co-curricular activities, from sport to the performing arts, embracing everything the school has to offer.
Life beyond the classroom is equally busy. The pupils will be enjoying a varied programme of evening and weekend activities, designed to complement their time in school and give them a true experience of boarding life in the UK. This full immersion is helping them to build confidence, independence and strong friendships.
Strengthening Connections Across the Forfar Family
The Short Stay Programme builds on the success of recent cross-school initiatives, including the Forfar ski trip to Italy, where pupils from across the group came together in a shared experience defined by collaboration and adventure.

By living within Finborough’s boarding environment, pupils are developing key life skills such as resilience, adaptability and independence. Studying in a different country, while fully participating in lessons and school life, is already proving to be a valuable and rewarding experience.
The programme reflects a shared commitment across Forfar Education to prepare pupils for an increasingly connected world, encouraging them to embrace new challenges, broaden their perspectives and build confidence in unfamiliar settings.
Looking Ahead
This first Short Stay Programme marks the beginning of deeper collaboration across the Forfar network, with plans for future exchanges and reciprocal visits already being explored.
As the programme continues throughout the summer term, Finborough looks forward to seeing these international connections grow, creating lasting partnerships and enriching the experience of all pupils involved.
