Finborough School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and our proprietor, Mr James Sinclair, is recognised by the DFE as suitable to own, and therefore have overarching responsibility for, an independent school.
All applicants for employment at Finborough must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the position, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). All members of staff engaged in teaching in any form (including sports’ coaching) are checked to ensure that they are not prohibited from teaching by the DFE. In addition all staff who have management roles are checked to ensure they are not prohibited from such roles in education by the DFE (this includes staff who are promoted internally).
