Our school is located in the heart of the Suffolk countryside, just over an hour from London and within easy reach of major international airports including London Stansted and Heathrow. The peaceful, rural setting provides a safe and inspiring environment for learning, while our proximity to historic towns and cultural landmarks, such as Cambridge, offers students a rich and immersive British experience.
Boarding at Finborough
Boarding is available from Prep 3 through to Sixth Form (aged 7 – 18). The boarding house is run by the Head of Boarding, and a wider team all of whom work across all areas of the school and are therefore familiar to the children. International boarders are joined by full UK boarders, and a mix of weekly and flexi boarders, meaning there is always a group of pupils who take part in the weekend activities.
“There’s a boys’ and a girls’ house with year groups integrated (boarding in the prep starts from Year 3), and boarding staff treat pupils like a family group where the older ones support the younger ones.”

Finborough offers a warm and welcoming home-from-home for our international boarders. Our modern, purpose-built boarding houses are set within 40 acres of beautiful grounds and provide a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment. With dedicated house parents, pastoral care teams, and an exciting programme of evening and weekend activities, boarders quickly become part of the Finborough family.

Sport at Finborough
Finborough School is widely recognised as one of the UK’s leading schools for sport, with a particular reputation for excellence in rugby. The school has become a powerhouse for developing the next generation of elite rugby talent, with recent alumni earning call-ups to the England and Ireland U18 national teams.
