Finborough Celebrates World Book Day with Reading Challenges and Literary Fun
Finborough School marked World Book Day with a brilliant mix of creativity, reading challenges and book‑themed activities across Prep and Senior School. Prep pupils kicked off the day with a human “Where’s Wally?”, celebrating their success in reading enough books to match the height of Mr Clark – an impressive two metres of stories stacked high!
In Senior School, Mrs Lewis, Head of English, led assemblies throughout the week, highlighting how daily reading can significantly boost exam performance across all subjects. Students were reminded that strong reading habits not only improve fluency and confidence in conversation but also give them a real advantage when applying to universities or stepping into job interviews.
Across the whole school, pupils enjoyed sharing reviews of their favourite books and recommended books to others.
