Finborough Team Reaches Semi-Finals in Debating Competition
Our talented Finborough debating team had an amazing experience this week competing in the Forfar Education Group Debating Competition, making it all the way to the semi-finals against St Helen’s College, Hillingdon.
The big question up for debate was: “Is it better to save or spend money?” Representing the saving side, our pupils impressed the judges with their well-researched points and carefully practised arguments, showcasing confidence and clarity throughout each round. Although the team narrowly missed out on a place in the final, they reflected on how much fun the experience had been and the valuable skills they gained along the way, from critical thinking and public speaking to teamwork under pressure.
We are incredibly proud of their achievement and the dedication they showed in preparing for this competition. Well done, team Finborough!
