Curriculum
In the Sixth Form we predominantly follow A Level courses, but also include a range of other suitable qualifications across a wide range of subjects taken in the supportive atmosphere of a small sixth form with small class groups. There is an emphasis on individual attention based upon our excellent teacher – pupil ratio.
Most students will select up to four subjects in Year 12; this enables them to keep some breadth to their studies. Students are given advice and guidance to help choose the most suitable combination of subjects and the curriculum is constructed around these options.
In addition all Sixth Formers participate in the prestigious ‘Seven Habits of Highly Effective Teenagers’ course and our comprehensive Enrichment Programme that allows pupils to participate in a wide variety of activities outside the confines of the classroom.
Support and advice is given on the opportunities available after Sixth Form with students being guided through the university application process and other career options.
