As a leading independent sixth form in Suffolk, we offer a range of purpose-built spaces designed to support every aspect of student life. Our facilities reflect the flexibility and independence we encourage in our Sixth Form students, helping them prepare for life beyond school.
Study & Learning Spaces
Sixth Form Study Room
Supervised by our Sixth Form tutor team, this space is ideal for quiet, independent study during non-timetabled lessons. Students also have the opportunity to collaborate on group projects when appropriate.
Conference Room
Situated in the Hub, this bookable space is available for collaborative projects, group revision sessions, and meetings with staff.
Silent Study Room
Located in the upstairs foyer of the Performing Arts Centre, this peaceful space offers a silent environment for focused work, complete with inspiring views over the golf course.
Social & Wellbeing Spaces
Sixth Form Common Room
A relaxed space for socialising, equipped with a kitchenette including a kettle, toaster, coffee maker, and microwave. Managed by the Sixth Form Committee, it fosters community and leadership.
Gym Access
To support physical wellbeing, students are encouraged to use the gym during the school day. After completing an induction, they may use the facility in groups of three or more.
Sky Café
Located in the Sports Hall building, the Sky Café is open to the Finborough community and visitors during key hours throughout the day and on fixture days. It serves a range of drinks and snacks, including healthy smoothies, milkshakes, cakes, and fruit pots all freshly prepared onsite.
This unique venture is run as a student-led business, with a Manager and a team of Sixth Form baristas. Students gain hands-on experience in customer service, hospitality, and business operations, learning how to serve the perfect coffee and build valuable workplace skills.
You’ll often find our Sixth Formers heading to the Sky Café to relax or study in a social environment at the end of the day.
