Finborough School: A-level Results 2025

At Finborough character driven hard work and dedication have paid off for our students this year with a set of examination results which represent an increase on previous years, particularly in the top grades.

Overall, in A-levels, the school saw an 8% increase on grades A*-C compared to 2024’s results. The breadth of curriculum supporting bespoke pathways has been strongly affirmed with a 36% increase versus last year for those receiving Merit and Distinction grades in Technical awards, which includes Digital Media, Performing Arts, Personal Training and Sports Coaching.

This has further established the significant appetite for diverse pathways, and we will be developing these further as our curriculum evolves to provide Finborough students the relevant and inspiring opportunities providing even more gateways to the wealth of future study and career options available to them.

Academic departments also enjoyed highly impressive results, with 80% of students achieving A*-C in English Literature and 100% in Computer Science.  The school has seen significant increases in the number of students achieving higher grades than previous years, most significantly against 2024, A*-C grades have increased in a number of subjects as can be seen below.

Highest achievers

Our highest achiever this year is Kevin with a staggering collection of A*A*AA an outstanding set of results enabling him to take up his university place at the highly regarded UCL to read Natural Sciences.

Notable successes, with incredible outcomes in Performing Arts and Digital Media particularly, are Yasmin and Victoria both achieving the top Distinction * grades and demonstrating the magical combination of talent and hard work. The stars of numerous productions at school, we are super proud of this amazing final bow at Finborough.

Following discovering her results Yasmin reflected on the incredible support and attention to detail of her teachers and how she has been encouraged at every step to be better and better. Yasmin is taking a gap year with the currency of excellent results to secure her next steps.

Angus, who secured a very impressive AAA and has secured a place at Bristol University to study Biochemistry.

Both Angus and Kevin have enjoyed their Preparatory, Senior and Sixth Form education at Finborough.  As with all our students, we could not be more proud of these brilliant adults who have emerged with characters that will drive their success as the exciting next chapter of their lives begins. Yasmin and Victoria have also enjoyed most of their education at the school, and we have seen them grow from little children to the commanding and confident young women who are ready to take on the world.
