Meet Emmanuel and Victoria, New Head Boy and Head Girl
Finborough School is delighted to introduce our new Head Boy, Emmanuel and Head Girl, Victoria.
Headmaster Mr Clark recently announced and congratulated our new heads of school for this academic year 2025-26.
Emmanuel
“Even though I’ve only been at Finborough for five years, I’ve had an amazing time. From meeting new people to sharing rooms with school friends in the boarding house, I’ve loved building those bonds.
Some of my favourite memories so far have been in boarding, when it feels like family and enjoying life with people who understand you, no words needed. These moments happen everywhere – revising with friends, playing games, or spending time in the gym. It’s incredible how much you learn and grow alongside the people around you.

Year 12 was a big leap for me and having Mr Colgan as my form tutor – alongside support from my family – helped me realise what it meant to be treated like an adult. He taught me the importance of mutual respect—give it, and you’ll receive it in return.
Another lesson I carry with me is the value of stepping back, observing, and approaching challenges with a neutral perspective. That mindset has been vital as I take on my A Levels.
I’ve always been fascinated by stars and space, which led me to choose maths, physics, and chemistry with the hope of one day studying aerospace engineering.
When I was selected as Head Boy, it didn’t feel real at first. I know I have a mantle to rise to, and a role to fulfil. It’s a big responsibility and I’m determined to give it my all.”
Victoria
“I am currently in my final year, studying Psychology, History, and Economics, and I have also completed my first year of Criminology. I love the way these subjects allow me to understand people, society, and the world around us, while also challenging me to think critically. Beyond academics, my subjects allow me to develop my character through the books I read.
My greatest role models are my mum and dad. They have given me incredible opportunities in life and have always supported and encouraged me to try new things and to do things outside my comfort zone, helping me build my confidence.
Over the years, I have admired every Head Girl who came before me, and I aspire to build on what they achieved.

“Finborough has shaped not only my education but also my character.”
When I was selected as Head Girl, I was thrilled and honoured to have the chance to give back to a community that has shaped me over the years. I intend to be a voice for the students someone they can rely on for support, comfort, and inspiration.
My goal is to advocate student ideas, encourage them to grow in confidence, and make sure everyone feels heard, as well as supported.
This year, I am most looking forward to helping as many students as possible and creating a positive impact across the school.
I’m excited to attend as many sport fixtures as I can to support the school sport teams, and to watch every school production.”
